Support Engineer
Up to £35kpa + £5k car Allowance

Our client is an international software company that provide software systems to the Retail and Hospitality sectors. They have a small group of 7 in the UK and a wider European total of 78 with HQ based in Finland.
An opportunity has arisen to join the UK team as a Support Analyst to support their end clients with any system issues at a 1st and 2nd line level, but with opportunity to learn and develop into more advanced support tickets in future.
The systems are Windows/SQL Server based so a typical Microsoft Infrastructure support engineer background that is happy to be trained in the specific software.
There is a good growth opportunity for someone hungry to develop into a more senior support role as the current person is retiring in 12 months’ time and you will grow into that role whilst still there and can take over in due course. There is also the opportunity to train in installing the software with clients.
The role is base in the Cotswold town of Tetbury, within walking distance of great cafes, restaurants and pubs. We are looking for someone to be in the office at least 3 days a week working with the Customer Success Manager and the UK CEO and Group board member is also there. Travel to client sites could occur and a trip to Finland once per year and also other Group get togethers.
Experience:

Ideally Degree Educated in Computer Science and/or certification in Windows and other relevant infrastructure qualifications

1st and 2nd line support experience in a windows environment

Any SQL nice to have but bug fix and database issues currently referred to another team

Hungry to learn, develop and grow with the business

Happy to be quite broad and resourceful. This will also be supporting the UK internal staff including building laptops

Based locally to Tetbury, Gloucestershire but can at least commute 3 days a week there.
