Our client is Group of companies made up of 22 different brands all in the same sector and have combined through mergers and acquisition. As a group, they are the largest of their kind in the South of England with 180 different stores.
Through Private Equity investment, the Group are in the middle of a major Transformation programme to streamline the business and get all the brands to integrate better including shared common technology platforms. The company is therefore going through a significant period of change building stronger foundations from which to grow with exciting opportunities in the pipeline.
There is a Technology roadmap in place which includes the implementation of a Common Cloud-based Network and Infrastructure platform, a Group wide ERP implementation with integrations to other systems and a Power (including BI) Platform.
Whilst these systems are being implemented, there is a need to understand their “as is” better and document the process and data flows of business operations that interact with their core systems. Most of these data flows interface with their Kerridge ERP with credit applications, other finance systems, data warehouse, websites, infrastructure and so on.
Once these are mapped then there will be opportunities to identify improvements. These will either be delivered inhouse or packaged up for 3rd parties to deliver. When they have a clean suit of flows, then better integrations can be done for the ERP rollout. Getting the data right will then mean better reporting and visualisation to make the business more streamlined and to make more informed data driven decisions.
An internal Business Analyst is mapping the business process flows. This role with be a Systems Data Analyst to review and improve the systems data flows, to document and make suggestions for improvement. The emphasis will be on Data Flows, Integrations, Power BI. The role will require analysis, documentation, investigation and scoping improvement projects, technical design and then delivering solutions either internally or via 3rd parties.
Experience:
• Data Analysis experience reviewing data flows between integrated core systems. ERP will be one of those systems and then a variety of systems interfacing to it.
• Ability to Map “as is” data flows and then identify areas where those flows can be improved.
• Ability to document improvement suggestions and with approval, package up as pieces of work to be delivered via 3rd parties or internally
• Technically sound across SQL, Integration and Power BI to deliver solutions.
• Prior mentoring of a small team of data and Power BI specialist to assign work, but not to manage team
• Any Solution or Technical Architecture experience nice to have but this is not an out and out Architect role.
• Remote based but with occasional travel 1-2 time a month
